Engine 61 is now in service!  E-61 is a 2005 Smeal 50th anniversary custom pumper.  It can seat 4 firefighters carries 750 gallons of water, 2000 ft. of 3 inch supply hose, 2- 1 ¾ inch attack lines of 200 feet each, 1- 2 inch attack line at 200 feet, medical equipment, extrication equipment including jaws of life and high pressure air bags, rope rescue equipment and numerous other fire fighting tools and equipment.

Congratulations to the following firefighters:

Lt. Ed Dye recently obtained his paramedic certification.

Lt. Jeff Attison and Firefighter Jay Hurley are now certified structural fire control instructors.

Firefighters Ben Hurston and Josh West recently obtained their EMT-I certifications.

 

Classes recently attended by firefighters:

Lt. Jeff Attison and Firefighter Jay Hurley completed structural fire control instructor.

Lt. Jeff Attison and Firefighter Josh West completed firefighter survival.

Firefighters Jay Hurley and Ben Hurston completed rapid intervention techniques.

Don’t forget June 10th 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. the First Annual Bremen Public Safety Day.  This will be a show of all areas of Public Safety where the public can come out and view fire engines, ladder trucks, rescue trucks, haz-mat trucks, ambulances, law enforcement vehicles and all the equipment involved in the area of public safety.  So come out bring the family and enjoy a fun filled day.
