NOTICE OF WATER RESTRICTION CITY OF BREMEN
On February 11, 2008, Georgia EPD issued new guidelines on water restrictions. Note that the City of Bremen, along with 61 counties, is under Level IV drought restrictions with some relief.
The following exemptions are approved, effective April 1, 2008: · Hand watering of existing landscape must be done between midnight and 10:00 am on designated days based on odd numbered and even numbered addresses for no more that 25 minutes. Odd number addresses are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Even number addresses are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Hand watering is defined as one person with one garden hose with a spray nozzle that shuts off automatically when it is released. · There are no clock or calendar restrictions on filling of existing or new swimming pools. · New landscaping may be watered up to three days a week from midnight to 10:00 am only for ten consecutive weeks and during plant installation. The odd-even numbered addresses apply to new landscaping. Any person, property owner or commercial landscaper watering new landscape must register via the internet on www.urbanagcouncil.com before watering. New landscaping is defined by plants less than thirty days old.
The following restrictions still apply: · Vehicle washing · Pressure washing
